Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask Review

Hey Lovelies x

I have been meaning to do a review for this product for some time now, especially as i tried it ages ago and just wanted to share my experience with it. The 'Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask' is a deep conditioner and I have heard a lot of great things about this product all over YouTube, Blogs and just around the hair and beauty community. So yes i gave into temptation and wanted to try it for myself to see what everyone was raving about. Many people were saying how amazing it was, how soft it made their hair and even though it's expensive it's worth the money. This product costs £40... yes, for a conditioner! You might be thinking 'Genie, you spent that amount of money on a conditioner!?' Haha, but no i didn't. Thankfully at the time, i was working in TK Maxx and i got the 500ml for £20, not to mention i had my employee discount so i got even more money off of it; so i probably paid around £18. I got so excited when i saw the product and the price, as i never saw it in any stores in the UK at the time (not that i was really looking lol). But I've seen it in quite a few places now; in Paks it costs around £25 for the 250ml and £40 for the 500ml.

*Description At The Back*

I'll start off by saying this conditioner smells gorgeous, i love hair products that smell good. The texture is really thick and creamy, so a little bit goes along way; which is good as it will last you a long time. But unfortunately this product did not work for me at all! Believe me when i say i wanted it to, especially for the amount of money i paid, £20 for a conditioner is still a lot to me. Maybe i wasn't using it right i thought. With all my deep conditioners i mix it with oils, apply it to my wet hair and sit under a plastic cap for about an hour. Normally i can feel how soft and moisturised my hair is when i wash the conditioner out, however with this my hair felt really dry. When blow drying, my hair became even more dry and straw like, baring in mind i do add moisturisers and oils when blow drying. It did nothing for me, more like it made my hair worse as it was so dehydrated and lacking nourishment which is the complete opposite of what a deep conditioner is suppose to do. I thought maybe next time i should leave it in a for a less amount of time as the instructions said '7 minutes' on the tub, because some conditioners you need to leave it in for a certain amount of time for it to work. But nope this did nothing, and i got the same results. It was no use to me, so i gave it to my Mum to try and it never worked for her either. I was determined to use this because i wanted to get my moneys worth lool. So i even recently tried it again, but instead of a deep conditioning treatment, i used it as part of my pree poo; so with added oils i applied it to my hair, left it in for about an hour, then washed it out and proceeded to shampoo and deep condition; and again this did nothing. So i came to terms that my hair just doesn't like it. Maybe it's because of a certain ingredient? I really don't know, but everyone's hair is different and is going to have a different experience and this is just my honest opinion. Something that works for someone else may not necessarily work for you too.

This is how much i have left and I'm sad to say it will just sit there lol. If you have tired this product, share your opinion too in the comments below, it would be nice to hear other peoples experiences. What are your thoughts? Any tips?

Genie xo
